India AI Impact Summit 2026: PM Modi Introduces ‘MANAV Vision’ for Human-Centric AI

At a time when Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming industries worldwide, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a key speech at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. He highlighted that AI should not remain just a technology trend, but must become a powerful tool for national development and public welfare. PM Modi also stressed India’s ambition to move forward with the vision of “Develop in India, Develop for the World.”

During the summit, PM Modi introduced a new framework called “MANAV Vision.” He explained that MANAV means “Human,” and the future of AI must always remain human-first. According to him, progress in AI should not focus only on speed and innovation, but also on trust, safety, and ethical responsibility.

PM Modi explained that each letter in MANAV carries a deeper meaning.
M – Moral and Ethical Systems: AI must be built with strong ethical guidance.
A – Accountable Governance: AI should have transparent rules and robust oversight.
N – National Sovereignty: Data rights matter — “whose data, his right.”
A – Accessible and Inclusive: AI should be a multiplier for everyone, not a monopoly for a few.
V – Valid and Legitimate: AI systems must be lawful, verifiable, and trustworthy.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged that AI may automate certain tasks, but it will also create new job opportunities and future-ready careers. He encouraged young people to focus on learning new skills and adapting to emerging technologies. PM Modi said India’s MANAV Vision could become an important link for the welfare of humanity in the AI-driven world of the 21st century.
