Microsoft co-founder and Gates Foundation founder-chairman Bill Gates visited the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat in Amaravati. After arriving at Gannavaram Airport on Monday morning, he went directly to the Secretariat.
Bill Gates was given a warm welcome by AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and other ministers. Later, government officials held a meeting with Bill Gates and his team.
During the visit, Bill Gates toured the Real Time Governance (RTGS) Centre at the Secretariat. Chief Minister Chandrababu explained the RTGS system and the results being achieved through it.
The Chief Minister is expected to discuss expanding various projects being implemented with the support of the Gates Foundation in the fields of education, healthcare, and agriculture. Special focus is also likely to be placed on the Sanjeevani project, sources said.
